Villarreal have equalled their third best goalscoring record in their 20 seasons in LaLiga

Pure dynamite. With yesterday’s win over Valencia, Villarreal CF strengthened their place as the third highest goalscoring team in LaLiga with 51 goals in 32 games. Only FC Barcelona (72) and Real Madrid (60) are ahead of them. In fourth is Real Sociedad (47), who today play the last game of this Matchday against Getafe CF. 

With 51 goals in 32 games, Javi Calleja’s side have equalled the Yellows’ third best goalscoring record after 32 games in the 20 years they have played in LaLiga. The record is with Villarreal from 2004/05 who scored 54 goals in 32 games, followed by the team that scored 52 in 2007/08 and 51 in 2013/14 and now 2019/20.
