Villarreal recognised the success of Ariadna Edo and Abderrahman Ait at Rio 2016
A more than deserved tribute. Villarreal CF wanted to acknowledge the tremendous success of two Paralympic athletes: Ariadna Edo and Abderrahman Ait, within the Endavant Esports project, who both shone at the recent Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. The swimmer picked up a bronze medal in the 400m freestyle, while the runner won a silver medal in the marathon.
Ex-footballer and current member of the Villarreal CF Institutional Relations Department, Marcos Senna, was in charge of presenting the medalists with a commemorative ceramic (mosaic) gift made by the members of the Pi Gros centre (centre for juvenile delinquents). This recognition took place on the pitch at El Madrigal stadium just moments before the start of the match against Celta de Vigo.
