The Yellows midfielder showed his excitement and eagerness to help the team in the upcoming season

Francis Coquelin was presented this lunchtime as a new Villarreal player at the Estadio de la Cerámica. The event, headed by Villarreal CF president Fernando Roig, also saw the presence of José Manuel Llaneza and CEO Fernando Roig Negueroles.

The French midfielder appeared in front of the media and was happy to join the club. “I’m very happy to be here. Villarreal is a big club and wants to be among the best. It’s a team that’s playing in Europe and that’s very important for me.”

During the press conference, Coquelin hailed his new team-mates and underlined his ambition.  “I’m joining a big club with good players. We want to aspire to as much as possible and compete until the very end in every competition.”

After two training sessions under Unai Emery, the French footballer highlighted that he is excited to get to work for his new team: “I want to give the team a lot. I’m available for whatever the coach asks me to do. I will try and give my best where he thinks I can help.”
