Yeremi Pino and Aitor Gelardo have lifted the title with Spain U18s
Villarreal academy youngsters Yeremi Pino and Aitor Gelardo have been named Copa del Atlántico champions with Spain U18s, which took place at Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. The Yellows started the third and final game of the competition, which saw Spain beat Mexico 6-0.
Pino scored the first goal of the game, and was replaced by Gregorio at the start of the second half. Gelardo also started the game, playing 62 minutes, before his team-mate Juan came on for him. Spain U18s end the competition having beaten Slovakia, Japan and Mexico.
Spain U18s’ results were the following:
- Tuesday, 28th January: Spain vs Slovakia (2-0).
- Wednesday, 29th January: Spain vs Japan (2-0).
- Friday, 31st January: Spain vs Mexico (6-0).
