The Yellows manager highlighted the importance of the match against CA Osasuna and the good moment that his team is currently in
Villarreal manager Javi Calleja appeared in front of the press to analyse the build-up to the match against CA Osasuna (Sunday, 6:30pm CET). The Yellows manager warned of the difficulty of facing the side from Navarra, and the importance of the game for both sides. “On Sunday, we have a cup final. We’re facing a team that are doing things very well and are only three points behind us. At their stadium, they turned things around in the match, and as their fans say, they never give up.”
The Yellows head coach also recognised the good moment his team is currently in, but warned that they cannot relax: “I see an atmosphere that I haven’t seen since I’ve been here as first-team manager, there’s an aura of happiness around a magnificent team and now we need to not lose our identity.”
Calleja also highlighted the importance of the fans, sending a message to them ahead of Sunday’s game: “We’re the first people who want to do something important this year, and the fans do too. Because of that, I’m sure that there’ll be a lot of people there on Sunday and a great atmosphere too, to help us get the win.”
