The agency will give crucial support to Villarreal CF for training camps and friendly matches
Villarreal CF has signed a collaboration agreement with football agency ‘Onside Sports Ibera’ for support in assessment, management, organisation and holding of sports camps and friendly matches, outside of the official season.
The club has worked with ‘Onside Sports’ since last pre-season, for the friendlies against SC Werder Bremen, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Sheffield Wednesday and Olympique Marseille.
‘Onside Sports Iberia’ is a subsidy of ‘Onside Sports’, market leader in Germany, where it has a modern and state-of-the-art model of support for professional clubs throughout the year, and currently works with more than 20 Premier League and Bundesliga sides.
Sergi Vieta, ‘Onside Sports Iberia’ managing director, underlined his happiness after the agreement: “We are very proud to present Villarreal CF as the first club associated with our Iberia entity and we thank them for their trust in our model and experience. We believe that we can offer differential value to the club, which wants to optimise the organisation and execution of pre-season, both on a sporting and economic level, thanks to our professional team and international network.”
Federico Alcácer, Villarreal CF general manager for organisation and management, valued the project positively: “We are convinced that we will take an important step forward through the agreement with Onside, with whom we had a great experience last summer, as well as a long-term and fruitful relationship we’ve had with Sergi Vieta for many years.”
