The playmaker believes the Yellow Submarine will qualify for the next phase of the UEFA Europa League

Villarreal midfielder Santi Cazorla was a key factor in the match against Spartak Moscow, scoring the equaliser in the 95th minute. After the match, the Yellows No.19 confessed that the goal meant a lot to him after two years without scoring due to a long-term injury: “It was special for me, and even more so, because it helped us come away with a point. There were other team-mates ready to take the penalty, but I decided to take responsibility and luckily, I scored.”

Despite that little bit of happiness, Cazorla underlined that he was conscious that the team needed to be calmer: “I believe it’s a match we should have won, but at the end, we come away with a point which is the lesser of two evils. We pressured a lot and we wanted to get to the opposition area quickly, but I think we lacked a bit of calmness and patience.”

Finally, he underlined that he believes in the Yellow Submarine: “We’re still dependent on ourselves. I think the team is capable of winning against anyone in the group, but we need to show it. Personally, I trust in us completely that we have the ability to get out of the group.”
