The talented midfielder put on a real creative show, averaging a 90% pass completion rate and providing two majestic assists for Samu Chukwueze and Carlos Bacca, which were two of the four goals for the home side. The Yellows No.19 now has seven LaLiga assists this season, fourth highest in the competition.
After the draw against FC Barcelona, Cazorla appeared in front of the Villarreal TV microphones to analyse the respectable result. The footballer praised his team-mates’ reaction in the second half: “We went head to head with one of the best teams in the world. Scoring four goals against the leaders is worthy of praise. We need to stay positive, even if we were very close to getting three points.”
