The Villarreal CF coach has predicted a difficult match against a tough and competitive Alavés side
Javi Calleja, the Submarine’s coach, faced the media to analyse the build up to this Friday’s game against Deportivo Alavés (9pm). The Villarreal CF manager warned of the potential threat posed by the Basque side: “Whenever they come to the Estadio de la Cerámica, they make it difficult for us. They aren’t getting the best results away from home, but we can’t be complacent. It will be a very tough game against a very competitive side, who use space well and are solid in defence.”
Javi Calleja has stressed that it is not the time to be looking at the table, rather to focus on each game as it comes, keeping up the high levels that the Yellows are currently playing at: “We can’t get too comfortable with the position we’re in. At the moment, all is going well. We just need to focus on the game against Alavés and try to take all three points. Our objective is to keep improving and maintain the level at which we’re playing and the results that we’re getting.”
