The Villarreal Manager praised the team effort of his players and the fans
Villarreal CF Manager, Javi Calleja, was full of enthusiasm after the win against SD Eibar: “It was a really positive atmosphere both in the stands and on the pitch. The good football played was a reflection of how much we wanted this”. In addition, the Submarine Manager said this is how he wants to play: “It was a dream match”.
The Submarine Manager wanted to thank the fans for their support, as they did not stop at any point throught the match: “I want to thank the fans for the atmosphere at the Estadio de la Cerámica, that union between players and fans is key so we can enjoy together”.
The Yellows boss also praised Pablo Fornals for his “great work on and off the ball” in the match.
To finish, Calleja prasied the whole team’s performance, especially for not conceding any clear chances to their opponents. “By keeping the ball they couldn’t create many chances against us. With the ball, we’re better defensively”.
