The athletics club received the Endavant Prize for Collective Sporting Merit 2018 in the Gala
El Club de Atletismo Playas de Castellón ha sido premiado por el Villarreal CF en la Gala Endavant Esports que se ha celebrado esta tarde en el Paranimf de la UJI. El club de atletismo ha recibido el Premio Endavant al Mérito Deportivo Colectivo 2018 debido a que se ha afianzado, un año más, como el mejor club de España y lidera la clasificación del ranking de la Real Federación Española de Atletismo. Como muestra del crecimiento y el nivel de sus deportistas, en este 2018, tres de sus atletas como Júlia Takács, Samuel García y Álvaro Martín fueron capaces de colgarse una medalla representando a la selección española en el Campeonato Europeo de Berlín.
The Playas de Castellón Athletics Club has been awarded a prize by Villarreal CF in the Endavant Esports Gala which took place this evening in the Paranimf at the Jaume I University (UJI) in Castellón. The athletics club received the Endavant Prize for Collective Sporting Merit 2018 thanks to how it has established itself once more as the best club in Spain and tops the Royal Spanish Athletics Federations’ rankings. As proof of the growth and level of its athletes, this year, three of its sports stars, Júlia Takács, Samuel García and Álvaro Martín got a medal representing Spain in the European Championships in Berlin.
Since its formation in 1982, Playas de Castellón has won 184 national titles, eight continental titles and more than 160 medals in Spanish Championships. 2018 has been an impeccable year once more for Playas de Castellón, winning 21 national titles and a continental one thanks to its European Champion Clubs Cup Cross Country victory at U20 level in Mira (Portugal).
