The Italian defender was satisfied with his contract extension until 2018 with the Submarine
In today’s press conference, Villarreal defender, Daniele Bonera, talked about his recent contract renewal until 2018. The Vice President of the club, José Manuel Llaneza, led the press conference and took advantage of the occasion to praise the Italian: “When we signed him, people told me he was a great person, but two years later I can say that he is exceptional. He has contributed a lot on the field, in the changing room and to the club”.
For his part, the Yellow number 23 showed how satisfied he was with his contract extension: “I’m really happy to stay for another year. I’ve found my place here, surrounded by great people that make it easy to work here. It’s a great opportunity”. Likewise, the Italian said that staying at Villarreal was his priority: “I didn’t think about anything else. I only wanted to continue here, at the club that put their faith in me when I didn’t have a team”.
Lastly, Bonera assured that the team will work very hard to do better than this season. “This club is ambitious and so are the footballers. Although it won’t be easy, we’ll try to improve upon what we achieved last year”.
