The Colombian striker scored three goals yesterday, as he did against Celta in LaLiga in the 2017/18 season
Yesterday, against Comillas in the Copa del Rey, Carlos Bacca got his second hat-trick for Villarreal in an official match (0-5). His first was in Matchday 35 of the 2017/18 LaLiga season against RC Celta (4-1). “I’m happy to have scored three goals and I’m working hard to help the team when the gaffer decides. Us players have to make the most of every minute,” said the striker after yesterday’s game at Las Gaunas.
Villarreal impressively got through the first round, and Bacca even had the chance of getting his fourth from the penalty spot: “We showed our commitment from the first minute. We needed to show that we were the better side. At the end, we got a win that kept things calm for us,” added the Colombian.
He concluded by recognising the team’s hopes to go far in the Copa del Rey: “We want to go as far as possible in the cup. Every round will be tougher. Playing different competitions is good for us footballers.”
