The Yellows first team squad will get back to training on 10th July
Today Villarreal CF completed their last training session of the 2016/17 season. It was a very relaxed session in which ex-player and current member of the club’s Institutional Relations department, Marcos Senna, participated as well as all members of the Yellows coaching staff, who had fun playing alongside the professional footballers. It was a very special ‘friendly’ match with none other than Manu Trigueros and Jaume Costa as goalkeepers.
In this way, the Submarine bid farewell to a magnificent campaign in which they finished fifth in the LaLiga Santander with 67 points, their second best league finish in the First Division. The players will return to the Villarreal CF Training Ground (Ciudad Deportiva) on Monday 3rd July to undergo their first medical tests. One week later, on 10th July, the training sessions will begin in preparation for the 2017/18 season, which will be Villarreal’s fourteenth season playing European football.
