Álvaro González underlines that the dressing room believes that they can overcome the negative dynamic
Villarreal defender Álvaro González, has appeared before the press to analyse the current situation regarding the Yellows. The Yellow Submarine’s No.3 explained the current mood in the dressing room, with the players convinced they can turn things around: “The team is united and focused on the current situation. In the coming days, we have two great opportunities against Almería and Levante to change the discourse.”
Álvaro underlined that it is important to stay calm: “In negative moments, everything is magnified. We played well against Atlético and Rapid Vienna. We were also decent in the first half in Vitoria. I believe that we don’t have to be completely demoralised. We need to correct our errors and work from that base.”
What’s more, the Villarreal defender explained the importance of starting well in the Copa del Rey. “We have a cup tie on Thursday. It’s a competition that we can get excited about. We will fight for a win so we can start the competition in the best way possible,” he said.
