The striker scored with his first shot for Villarreal and has 10 goals in his last 13 attempts on target

A real predator. Paco Alcácer made his debut for Villarreal in the best way possible. The Valencian striker started the game against Osasuna, scoring a goal and winning a penalty. The Yellows No.17 found the back of the net with his first shot for the club, making the most of a great pass from his team-mate Manu Trigueros.

Alcácer’s efficiency is impressive. In fact, between Borussia Dortmund and Villarreal, the dangerman from Torrent has scored ten goals with his last 13 shots on target: “When a team is effective and scores three goals, it’s hard not to win the match. I hope the team continues to get points, which is the main aim. And if it’s with goals I’ve scored, it’s even better,” commeted Alcácer after the win against Osasuna (3-1).

Regarding the reception from the fans, the Valencian was very happy: “I’m very grateful to how everyone has treated me since I arrived here. I’m excited with my team-mates and hopefully we can continue in this form.”

To conclude, Alcácer looked towards the future optimistically: “I’m very happy, especially for the level of the team. We had to win this match and we have. The team is keen to play and excited ahead of the future. Looking to Wednesday’s game, it’s an important match and we will give our all to get into the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey.”
