The Valencian defender played 38 games last season, accumulating 3,448 minutes

This morning, Raúl Albiol received the ‘Healthiest Player’ award for the 2019/20 season. This prize was handed out by ASISA, official Villarreal CF healthcare provider.

The Valencian centre-back played the most minutes (3,448) out of any player in an atypical season, affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Yellows No.3 played 38 games and scored one goal. 

After Albiol, the players who featured most were Pau Torres (3,091) and Sergio Asenjo (3,060).
