The academy youngster got game time in two friendlies against France U17
Yellows Academy player Aitor Gelardo took part in the first friendly between Spain U17 and France U17 on Tuesday. The midfielder came off the bench to try and turn the match around, but he couldn’t avoid the defeat against Les Bleus (1-2).
The first goal for the French side came from a cross from Dilane Bakwa, which was ended up as an own goal after a botched clearance (0-1). The other two goals came from Giorginio Rutter (0-2) and Yeremi Pino (1-2).
The promising talent had more time on the pitch in the second friendly between the two sides, in which he was named in the starting line-up. A goal from Haissem Hassan at the start of the second half gave the French side the victory (0-1).
