Member of Yellows fan clubs met the new signings in a traditional ceremony that took place in the Conference Room in the Preferencia stand at the Estadio de la Cerámica
A warm welcome for the new reinforcements for the Submarine. The Conference Room in the Preferencia Stand at the Estadio de la Cerámica hosted the traditional event where members of Yellows fan clubs can get to know the latest Villarreal arrivals. Alberto Moreno, Moi Gómez, Javi Ontiveros, Rubén Peña, Vicente Iborra, Xavi Quintillà and Leo Suárez were at the ceremony, in which Pau Torres, Raúl Albiol and André-Frank Zambo Anguissa where not present due to being on international duty.
Yellows fans made the most of the evening to take photos with and chat to the Submarine’s stars. Villarreal president Fernando Roig and Vicente Iborra, representing the new arrivals and as one of the squad’s captains, shared some words and thank the fans for their support during the start of the season, underlining the importance of unity to achieve the club’s objectives. Javier Pérez, president of the Villarreal CF Official Supporters Group (Agrupació de Penyes del Villarreal CF), also welcome the players. Finally, the fans, after the players’ visit, enjoyed an informal dinner.
The event was attended by 250 fans from 14 official fan clubs: Orgull Groguet (Betxí), CEU-Manu Trigueros (Castelló), Rajola Groga (L’Alcora), L’Os Groc (Madrid), Submarí Groc (Vila-real), Furia Amarilla (Vila-real), Celtic Submarí (Vila-real), La 12 (Vila-real), Sant Pasqual (Vila-real), Don Esteban (Vila-real), Pardals Grocs (Vila-real), Chequia Groga (Czech Republic), Llagonstí Groc (Vinaròs) and Villarreal CF-Vinaròs (Vinaròs).
The welcome ceremony was also for a charitable purpose. Those attending donated 5 Euros, which will be split between Creixem, AESYS, Izan el pequeño gran héroe and ALUDME.
