Sergio Asenjo underlines the importance of a clean sheet to get a win against Celta

Villarreal goalkeeper Sergio Asenjo appeared in front of the media this lunchtime to analyse the current goings-on regarding the Yellow Submarine, who will face Celta Vigo this Saturday at Balaídos (6:30pm CET). He underlined the importance of getting a win in Galicia: “We’re aware of how important getting a victory in Vigo would be. It would be a real turning point in our first to stay in LaLiga. Winning at Balaídos would be vital and we are going to fight for that.”

The Yellows No.1 underlined defensive solidity as one of the keys for the match against Celta: “We are moving up the table, and it is, in part, thanks to the improvement in defence. In the last few matches we have got better regarding that, and we will try to not concede against Celta. To get a satisfactory result, we must try and be calm, avoid individual errors, take our time and take the game into how we want to play it, trying to have the ball and defending from that base.”

Finally, the Spanish international goalkeeper put into value the atmosphere there will be at Balaídos during the clash with the Yellows. “Us professionals like full stadiums with a good atmosphere. We need to focus on a good game of football and try and come away with the three points.”
