Moi Gómez underlines that winning against Sevilla at the Sánchez Pizjuán would give the side a lot of confidence

Villarreal midfielder Moi Gómez underlined this lunchtime that he sees the team as mentally and physically ready to get a win this Sunday against Sevilla (6:30pm CET). For the Yellows No.23, it would be a morale boost: “We know that we have a tough calendar. We’ve prepared well for the match against Sevilla. They’re a good side and it won’t be easy. We have to continue growing after our good showing against Atlético. A win would give us a lot of confidence. Those three points would be very important for us. We’re keen on returning to winning ways.”

Regarding the upcoming opponents, Gómez warned about the difficulty of beating them: “Sevilla are going to demand a lot from us. They’re strong at home and we will have to be a tight block, making the most of the chances we have.”

Villarreal want to continue on the same path after the good performance against Atlético Madrid: “You go on runs throughout the season. We’re united and we all want to come out the other side. The quicker we react, the better. Hopefully we get three points and we move up the table. We have a squad to be looking further up the table. If we win two matches in a row, it would be a big step.”
