Rubén Peña hailed the Submarine’s intensity to get the three points at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez

Villarreal defender Rubén Peña has analysed the Yellows’ important win over Getafe CF at the Coliseum Alfonso Pérez (1-3). The footballer hailed the Yellows’ hard work during the game: “There are games where you need to at least match the rival’s intensity to win the game. Against Getafe, that’s what we did. We gave up few chances and we scored three goals to get three points against a direct rival.”

The author of the third goal, Peña celebrated his goal with a special dedication: “I was lucky that Gerard picked me out with a great ball and I could score. I dedicated it to my wife, who is pregnant and we’re very excited.”

After having taken a massive step in the fight for European football, the defender hopes Villarreal can continue the good run against Real Sociedad: “They’re another direct rival. We have to rest as much as possible to get the win and mathematically seal our place in Europe.”
