MARATÓN VALENCIA TRINIDAD ALFONSO

Villarreal CF collaborated in the race which attracted more than 30,000 runners

Pure gold. The ‘Maratón Valencia Trinidad Alfonso EDP’ was a resounding success once again, attracting more than 30,000 participants in this year’s edition. Villarreal CF was a collaborator, boasting a spectacular stand at the Valencia Sports Exhibition (Expo Deporte Valencia) that was a meeting place for fans, where they were able to enjoy numerous activities and games.

Supporters that passed by enjoyed playing foosball, having photos taken as a Villarreal CF or Valencia Basket Club player, playing FIFA 17 on games consoles and the charity video game ‘Villarreal CF Soccer Hunters’ on a tablet, as well as sharing special moments with the club mascot, ‘Groguet’, and awing at a spectacular show put on by a professional football freestyler.

On Friday, the stand received a special visit from ex-Yellow footballer Marcos Senna, who as well as attending to fans’ requests also took on a basketball shooting challenge with former Valencia Basket Club captain Víctor Luengo. What’s more, fans could also enjoy watching an exciting virtual derby between one of the captains of the Villarreal CF VFO team, Isaac Tortosa (Leo2307), and an opponent from Levante UD. In fact, FIFA 17 fans also underwent trials at the stand, to form part of the ‘Villarreal CF eSports’ team, under the watchful eye of the captain.

On Saturday, the fun continued as Villarreal striker, Roberto Soldado, signed autographs and had photos taken with fans.

Villarreal also wanted to reward the effort of those Yellows fans that participated in the race and therefore gave away commemorative t-shirts to season-ticket holders, only by presenting their race number and Villarreal CF Season Ticket.
