Villarreal beats Real Madrid on a spectacular match with a goal by Soldado

Epic! Real heroes! The Villarreal CF won a prestigious match against Real Madrid in a spectacular match by the Yellows. Soldado scored the only goal of the night during the first minutes of the game, which ended up giving the victory to the Submarine.

The Villarreal CF was very intense during the first minutes. On the third minute the goal was very close with a strong shot by Jonathan dos Santos that hit the right post of Keylor Navas’ goal.

It was the anticipation of the 1-0. Around the 9th minute, Bruno stole the ball that went to Bakambu who served to Soldado, that scored underneath the legs of the Whites’ goalkeeper.

Real Madrid was  dominated by a strong Villarreal and they couldn’t find the way to find leaks on Villarreal’s defensive line. The Submarine launched fast counter attacks and Bakambu could have scored a second goal after overcoming Pepe on a sprint to face Navas but his shot went out (m. 26).

The Submarine was playing a spectacular match with passes between all team members that were strongly cheered by El Madrigal’s attending crowd. In another of these plays came another clear scoring chance but Bakambu couldn’t manage to shoot on goal properly (m. 35).

Real Madrid woke up after the halftime break. Benzema could have scored the drawing goal in two clear chances but Soldado countered the initial dominance by the Whites with a slingshot that forced Navas to do a great save (m. 49).

Real Madrid tried with everything they had on attack and Villarreal struggled to keep the score as it finally was. All in all, three very valuable points on a match to remember.
