Vietto joins the Yellows on a five-year deal
Villarreal CF have reached an agreement with Racing Club de Avellaneda for the transfer of the striker Luciano Vietto, who will play for the Submarine for the next five seasons. The 20 year old striker, one of the most promising players in Argentine football, is part of the Albiceleste U20 and has been the star of the ‘Academia’ in last seasons. The player will be presented tomorrow at an open door event at El Madrigal (1pm).
Luciano Darío Vietto (Balnearia, Córdoba, Argentina, 5 de diciembre de 1993) is a center forward, but he can also play more delayed as a playmaker. He is noted for his technical skills and goal scoring ability and has an extensive experience in high competitions despite his young age. Moreover, he has the Italian citizenship, which means he doesn’t count as a foreign player.
Despite his youth, he has played more than seventy games for Racing Club (18 goals), in which he arrived coming from Estudiantes de La Plata and previously from Talleres de Córdoba. Vietto was one of the great sensations of the Clausura 2013, where he became the top scorer of his team and the fourth one of the competition.
