Six Villarreal players received top recognition from the Valencian Football Federation
The Yellows Academy shone at the night recognising Valencian footballs. A total of six Villarreal CF footballers were recognised by the Federación de Fútbol de la Comunidad Valenciana in the Awards Gala for the 2017/18 season, which took place at the Auditari Mar Rojo at the Oceanogràfic in Valencia, in front of 500 guests.
The Yellows players receiving awards included Pablo Fornals, given a special plaque as a Spain U21 player; Aixa Salvador, getting recognition for winning the U17 Women’s European Championship; Diego Collado, given a special plaque as an U17 national player, as well as Yeremi Pino, Antonio Pacheco and Aitor Gelardo, who also got a special plaque as international U16 players.
The ceremony took place in front of big names in Valencian sport, including various Villarreal CF footballers, such as Jaume Costa and Vicente Iborra.
