Musacchio suffers relapse of injury to his right rectus femoris
Villarreal defender, Mateo Musacchio, has suffered a relapse of the injury to his right rectus femoris after he was subjected to tests by the club’s medical team. It should be noted that, at all times, there has been constant communication between the medical services at Villarreal CF and the Argentinean national team, for whom Musacchio was called up for over the last few days.
Furthermore, Italian defender Daniele Bonera has suffered a micro-tear to his left groin that was sustained in training yesterday. Recovery time is dependent upon his rate of progress.
With regard to the rest of the team’s recovering players, both Jonathan dos Santos and Jaume Costa are progressing well with their respective injuries, so should be joining the team for training in the next few days. On the other hand, Areola has the all clear and Samu García is on the verge of completing his readjustment training to get back with the team.
Denis Suárez and Samu Castillejo have overcome their minor injuries and are training as normal with the team.
