The Yellows third team beats Torre Levante with goals from Akale and Chepe
The Villarreal C team picked up their third consecutive win in four league matches and stay at the top of the table, joint with Olímpic, in Group VI of the Third Division (Tercera División). On this occasion, Carlos Pérez Salvachúa’s side beat Torre Levante 2-1 in a match that the Yellows deserved to win by a bigger margin, but missed a lot of chances.
Both of the Villarreal C team’s goals came in the first half, courtesy of Chepe and Akale. The Yellows played brilliantly in the first half. Akale opened the scoring after Chepe won the ball back and passed to the American forward who finished easily.
Then it was Chepe himself who got the second. After a spectacular individual effort, he laid the ball off to Chepe who placed his shot in at the far post.
For their part, Torre Levante started to stretch Villarreal in the second half and putt he locals under a lot of pressure, but the Submarine held strong. Then in the 92nd minute the visitors got a goal back through Reyes who scored at the far post from a corner kick.
Andrei really stood out for the Yellows, who despite still being an U19 player is having a great start to the season for the Villarreal C team.
