The Yellows Reserves played with a man down from the first minute after Ramiro got sent off

Little reward for the hard work put in. The Villarreal B team drew against Gavà in a match that the Yellows had to play 89 minutes with a man down, after Ramiro was sent off in the first minute of the match.

Not even two minutes had been played when Ramiro kept the ball out of the goal with his left arm on the goal line and the referee pointed to the penalty spot. The Mini Submarine’s centre midfielder saw red and Boris executed his penalty kick perfectly to put his team ahead on the score board.

Despite playing with a man down, the Villarreal B team clearly dominated the match, creating numerous chances on goal against motivated Gavá goalkeeper, Craviotto. The Yellows also had two goals ruled offside.

After the first half an hour of play the equalizer arrived. Raba and Carlos Martínez combined in a great play and Raba finished it off with a well placed left-footed strike. There was still a long way to go though, so Villarreal had put in a hard shift.

The Yellows worked tirelessly but could not find a way past Craviotto again and took away a single point in the end. The Yellows Reserves next match will be against Barcelona B at the Mini Estadi at the Ciudad Condal.
