Villarreal have landed on Russian soil. The Yellows’ trip left at lunchtime from Castellón Airport (1:45pm CET) in a chartered flight heading to Pulkovo Airport in St. Petersburg. After arriving, the team will stay at the Four Seasons Hotel Lions Palace St. Petersburg until the match against FC Zenit (Thursday, 6:55pm CET).
Head coach Javi Calleja and a first-team footballer will appear on Wednesday afternoon in a press conference ahead of the tie at the St. Petersburg Stadium (4:30pm CET). After that, the Yellows will train behind closed doors at the stadium. The return trip will take place once the match finishes on Thursday, heading back to Castellón Airport.
