The Yellows lose on the second matchday against Arsenal (3-0) and cannot progress to the next round of the competition

Vlilarreal U23s are now unable to reach the knockout stage of the Premier League International Cup after losing their second game to Arsenal, who didn’t give many chances to the Yellows and ended the game with a convincing 3-0 win. The defeat, added to the loss in the opening day against Dinamo Zagreb (2-1) leaves the Yellows unable to qualify from their group with one game to go.

Although the Yellows dominated the play in the first half and had chances, the Londoners took their chances and went ahead through Tormey five minutes after the start of the game.

The second half saw Arsenal have the majority of the game, and they scored twice more, through Smith Rowe and Coyle.
