Spectators thoroughly enjoyed the charity match held at the seaside town
A success. Yesterday’s charity match between Villarreal CF and Vinaròs CF legends was celebrated at Vinaròs’ ‘Ciutat Esportiva’ facility in front of a large crowd. Not even the heavy rainfall kept the match from going ahead. Spectators were able to enjoy the match for a small fee, with all money raised going to ‘Creixem’, an early attention and child development association for boys and girls with a disorder affecting their development or at risk of suffering from such a disorder. It should also be mentioned that the U16 Roda team collaborate with this same association through the ‘Endavant Igualtat‘ initiative.
Many ex-Villarreal CF players like Marcos Senna, Héctor Font, Javi Calleja, César Arzo, Igor Tasevski, Moisés García, Javi Venta, Carlos Isach, Xisco Nadal and Javi Cornago, among others, came together at the ‘Ciutat Esportiva’ facility in Vinaròs to play against the locals’ veteran side. The result was irrelevant. The objective was to help the Creixem Association. Objective achieved.
