Villarreal defeats Everton with goals by Gerard Moreno and Nahuel
The Submarine ended its English tour in the best possible way. Showing a solid image, Villarreal defeated Everton by 1-2 with goals scored by Gerard Moreno and Nahuel. The 0-2 came on the 60th minute, Nahuel stole the ball and faced Howard beating him on the one on one with a subtle touch. Villarreal could have scored the third of the night with two great scoring chances for Alejo and Gerard Moreno, saved by an extraordinary Howard. Everton also had its chance with a header after a corner kick that hit the post.
Moments later, Browning headed to the net, also after a corner kick. With Duncan Ferguson and Wayne Rooney already on the pitch, Everton FC pushed hard to achieve the equilizer but the score didn’t move.
