Chapter 9 of ‘Centenary Memories’ reviews the origins of the three great anthems that have accompanied Villarreal CF

Villarreal CF has published the ninth instalment of the ‘Centenary Memories’ series. The chapter delves into the origin and popularisation of the three great anthems that have accompanied the yellow club during its 100 years of history: the famous ‘Submarino Amarillo’ theme song by Los Mustang, the Official Villarreal Anthem by Toni Pitarch and the Official Villarreal CF Centenary Anthem, composed by the prestigious Nacho Cano.

This short report focuses on the voices of Julián García Candau, prestigious journalist from Vila-real; Joaquín Font de Mora, son of the former president Pascual Font de Mora; Miguel Batalla, son of Miguel Batalla, former president of Villarreal CF; Manuel Vilanova, son of Manuel Vilanova Pesudo, player and director of the club; Mosén Guillermo, priest of Vila-real; and Toni Pitarch, author of the lyrics of the Villarreal CF anthem.

Below, you can enjoy this short audiovisual piece, part of ‘Centenary Memories’, a series of reports that uncover and review some of the highlights of the 100 years of Villarreal CF’s history.
