Jaume Costa says the Yellows must “be ambitious” ahead of this final stretch of the LaLiga season
In today’s press conference, Villarreal CF’s left back, Jaume Costa, stated that the Submarine face this final stretch of the season with “optimism”, to finish as high as possible in the league: “We’re achieving our goals. We want to keep picking up points to guarantee ourselves a European spot. We’re excited, the most important part of the season is to come and we will not surrender anything”.
In addition, Jaume Costa recognized that the triumph against Athletic Club “gave us a lot of morale” to face the upcoming league clashes. On the other hand, the full back warned that the Submarine’s next league opponents, Deportivo Alavés, are a strong side (Monday, 8:45pm CET). “They’re a dangerous and competitive team. They made it very hard for us at the Estadio de la Cerámica and at their ground it won’t be any less”, Costa highlighted. However, depite the difficulty of the fixture, he firmly believes they can “get the three points”.
