Sara Monforte has analysed the upcoming match against Deportivo Alavés (Saturday, 12pm CET)
Villarreal Women head coach, Sara Monforte, appeared before the media at the press conference ahead of the match against Deportivo Alavés, corresponding to Gameweek 17 of the 2022/23 Finetwork Liga F season. The game will take place on Saturday 28th January, at the Mini Estadi at the José Manuel Llaneza Training Ground, starting at 12pm CET. These are some of the key statements made by Monforte.
“I think it will be a head-to-head game, with a lot of individual duels. With the change of manager, Deportivo Alavés now have a more direct style of play. The game will be played in the penalty areas.”
“For the last couple of games, we’ve been seeing a different Villarreal Women. We have to pull out all the stops and take a step forward. We also have to be brave.”
