Villarreal will play one round less in the Europa League after Anoeta’s exhibition
What a great finishing match! Villarreal took over Anoeta and with a beautiful game display, managed to secure the sixth place against Real Sociedad (1-2), which allows Marcelino’s men to play one qualifier less for next season’s Europa League. With two fabulous goals from Uche and Giovani, the Submarine closed an outstanding season in which the Yellows, newly promoted to the First Division, have been one of the great emerging teams of the tournament.
