Villarreal presented its current youth teams during half-time of the match against Celta Vigo

The Estadio de la Cerámica this Sunday hosted the presentation of Villarreal’s youth sides. During half-time of the match against Celta Vigo, the club paraded all the teams that make up the Yellows Academy, with all the sides taking to the pitch to receive a great reception from the Yellows fans. More than 700 players and 140 coaches had a special moment.

From the Villarreal C youngsters to the promising participants in the Psychomotor Skills for Kids programme, including the women’s and girls’ football teams and the intellectually-disabled (EDI) sides, everyone that makes up the Yellows Academy took to the Estadio de la Cerámica pitch. Villarreal B and Villarreal Women C were unable to attend, as they were playing away from home at the same time this Sunday afternoon.

Villarreal is a club that backs its academy. Proof of that is that currently 11 first team players were formed in the youth set-up. The Training Ground (Ciudad Deportiva) is a goldmine of talent.

Players and coaches have everything available to them. The best facilities and equipment, as will as staff who work day to day to not only form footballers, but people too. Yesterday, they all got the reception they deserve.
