The ex-Villarreal player will reunite with Calleja on the Submarine bench
Villarreal CF has come to an agreement with coach Quique Álvarez to join the club’s coaching staff as the new Assistant Manager. The ex-Villarreal defender, who until now was managing the FC Barcelona Reserves, will be runited with Javi Calleja on the Submarine bench after sharing a dressing room together as players. The new Assistant Manager will join the club immediately, travelling with the team to Israel tomorrow for Thursday’s UEFA Europa League match against Maccabi Tel-Aviv.
Villarreal CF would like to thank FC Barcelona for the manner in which they have dealt with the negotiations to enable Quique Álvarez to be the new Yellows’ Assistant Manager.
