The U19s start their participation in the tournament on Monday, facing Numancia (4pm, Footters)

This Monday, Vilarreal U19s (Juvenil A) start their participation in the Copa de Campeones, the most prestigious national competition at U19 level, which is made up of the champions from each group in the División de Honor, as well as the best second-placed sides. The Yellows Academy young promises will face CD Numancia in their first game, at A Madroa, the training ground of Celta Viga, where all the quarter-finals take place.

The team from Soria finished top of Group 2 with 66 points, two more than Real Sociedad, who chased them until the last day.

Villarreal’s U19s also won their title on the last day, after beating Lorca FC 1-3, with Levante UD only a point behind the Yellows during four heart-stopping final games, after the Submarine dropped two points against Atlético Madrileño.

The match will kick-off at 4pm CEST and will be shown live on the paid-for platform Footters.com. The other match of this side of the draw, Real Madrid vs Sevilla FC, will take place at 6:30pm CEST, so the Yellows will have an eye on that result should they beat Numancia. Atlético Madrid vs Real Zaragoza and CD Tenerife vs Celta Vigo complete the quarter-finals in the competition. Should Villarreal get through this round, the semi-finals will take place on 8th May, and a potential final would be on 11th May at Balaídos.
