Here are Miguel Álvarez’s comments:

The team

“The team is very good, as always. We have a lot of absentees, but we are going to Andorra to try to win. We are happy with what we have even though we are not in the best situation.”

What to expect from the match

“The matches that have always been. We have to carry two balls because one is theirs. Apart from jokes, they are the team that plays the best associative game and it’s a credit to their head coach. Their approach is very clear. They subdue you because they combine very well, they have everything automated and their players make decisions very quickly. Although they are superior in terms of possession, we have always known how to play these games differently because they make you adapt. We’ve done well in terms of results, although in the last game they were superior to us in terms of chances on goal.”

Thanking the squad

“I have thanked them because, once again, they have not let us down. When I came here, they changed 18 or 20 players every year because they had good seasons, but we were fighting for promotion again. Now we think it’s important that the squad has a bit of continuity and we’ve had two promotions in a row and we’ve kept the team in the second division. We have been very demanding with them and they have put up with us”.

Balance of the season

“The objective of staying in the division for a reserve team is huge. There has been a bit of uncertainty, but we have always been in comfortable positions. The year has been very good. They’ve been in the day-to-day and in matches with the first team and they’ve saved the category. On a personal level, I’ve really enjoyed it. The most important thing is who you walk the path with. I really enjoy my profession.”
