The Yellows win their fifth straight title after their victory against Sassuolo (4-2)
Villarreal managed to keep its summer trophy, the ‘Trofeo de la Cerámica Mahou Cinco Estrellas’, sponsored by Bestile for the eighth time. The yellows could beat the Italian side Sassuolo by 4-2 with goals from Uche, Espinosa, Vietto and Gerard Moreno. Villarreal’s President, Mr. Fernando Roig, and the city mayor Mr. José Benlloch, posed for a picture along with the squad after the trophy ceremony. The local artist Juan García Ripollés was in charge of the design of the trophy.
