Jaume Costa hails the ‘personality’ and ‘character’ shown by Villarreal in the win over Levante (0-2)
Villarreal defender Jaume Costa appeared in front of the media after the Yellows’ win over Levante UD (0-2). The left-back valued the character shown by the Yellows at the Ciutat de Valéncia: “I value the three points we’ve obtained. It wasn’t our best match, but we showed that we have heart, character and personality. We tried to play our best, but when we’re not at that level, we need to be competitive, to be solid and try and be effective.”
Furthermore, Costa underlined the importance of the three points, which saw the Yellow Submarine move out of the relegation zone: “Our opponents are losing points and we’ve had opportunities to get out of the relegation zone. This matchday, with the other results falling how they did, we knew it was crucial to get the three points. The win allows us to be calmer, but we know there is a lot left to play for in this league and we will have to fight until the end.”
