In his presentation the Villarreal striker emphasized that he is “at the service of the team”

Work, sacrifice and sweat. Villarreal forward, Carlos Bacca, was officially presented to Yellows fans today as a new Villarreal player in an event led by the club’s President, Fernando Roig. The Colombian was welcomed by around a thousand fans at the Villarreal CF Training Ground (Ciudad Deportiva)and emphasized, “I promise to work hard and give everything I have inside of me for this team”.

In this respect, Bacca continued that the Villarreal is the perfect place for him to keep growing. “I made this decision thinking about what was best for me, for my career and for my family. I’ve come with the mentality to stay and the only way to do that is with hard work, sacrifice and by helping the team. My goal was to continue playing in a competitive league, like the Spanish league, and in a competitive team, like Villarreal”.

Villarreal President, Fernando Roig, explained that the arrival of the Colombian comes with a lot of hopes and expectations. “He is a great footballer who is with us now and who I’m sure will make give us all many happy moments. We welcome him and want him to know that this is the place for him to grow and wish him the best of luck”.

The striker was very happy, especially after having received such a great welcome. “I’m very happy to embark on this new adventure at a great club, a club that is a family. Zapata, Musacchio, Matías Fernández… many of my Milan teammates told me great things about this club, but those words don’t live up to what I’ve experienced on my arrival here. From day one, I’ve felt at home”.
