Marcelino can count on his whole squad for the road to the UEFA Europa League Final
The Villarreal CF management team, led by Marcelino García Toral, have chosen their players for this Thursday’s match against Liverpool FC, in correspondence with the second leg of the UEFA Europa League Semi-final that will be played at Anfield (9:05pm CET). All the players are available for this tie after Eric Bailly and Leo Baptistao have recovered from their respective injuries.
The chosen players are the following:
- Goalkeepers: Asenjo, Areola and Barbosa.
- Defenders: Mario, Musacchio, Bonera, Víctor Ruiz, Eric Bailly, Rukavina and Jaume Costa.
- Midfielders: Trigueros, Bruno, Denis Suárez, Samu García, Pina, Jonathan dos Santos, Castillejo and Nahuel.
- Strikers: Soldado, Bakambu, Leo Baptistao and Adrián López.
Trip Itinerary
The Yellows will set off on their expedition to Liverpool this Wednesday at 12pm on a charter flight from Castellón Airport. Once on English soil, the Submarine will practice at Anfield stadium at 8pm CET (Spanish time, 7pm local time). At 7:30pm, Villarreal CF manager, Marcelino García Toral, and captain Bruno Soriano will do a press conference in the Anfield press room (Spanish time, 6:30pm local time). The journey home to Castellón will be on Thursday after the game.
