Fans were able to enjoy wheelchair football in the Fan Zone ahead of the match against Atlético

A-Ball took centre stage in the build-up to the match against Atlético de Madrid at the Estadio de la Cerámica. The sport, whose name plays with the pronounciation of the word able, is wheelchair football, and has been designed and invented by Valencians and is recognised by the Royal Spanish Football Federation and FIFA.

Outside the Estadio de la Cerámica, fans could enjoy a show match between a combination of representatives of Villarreal and another one from the Spanish national team, as well as trying out the inclusive sport. Aixa Salvador and Marcos Senna were also recognised as A-Ball ambassadors by the organisation.

Villarreal are the first club to have organised an exhibition of A-Ball to give it visibility in the build-up to a LaLiga match. The Yellows wish the best of luck to everyone involved in this sport in its professionalisation process.
