Sergio Asenjo has been given the all-clear

The goalkeeper is training with his teammates and should be approved to compete shortly

This morning, Villarreal CF goalkeeper, Sergio Asenjo, received the all-clear from the club’s medical staff after recovering from an anterior cruciate ligament tear in his left knee. An injury he sustained at the Estadio de la Cerámica against Real Madrid on 26th February.  

Asenjo underwent surgery on 3rd March at the Clínica Cemtro de Madrid, which was performed by doctors Antonio Maestro, Pedro Guillén and Isabel Guillén. The goalkeeper has now received the all-clear from medical staff and will train as normal with the team, in anticipation of being given the all-clear to compete in the near future.
