Villarreal CF and the English club have reached an agreement for the Ivory Coast centre back
Villarreal CF and Manchester United have reached an agreement for the transfer of defender Eric Bertrand Bailly. The African centre back, who came to Villarreal CF in the 2015 Winter transfer window from RCD Espanyol, became a regular starter for Marcelino’s side. Bailly has played 47 matches in the season and a half that he has represented the Yellows.
Despite his young age (12th April 1994), the Ivory Coast defender is a key player for his national team, with whom he won the African Cup of Nations in 2015. Villarreal CF would like to thank the defender for the involvement, commitment and professionalism he has shown at Villarreal CF and wish him the best of luck in the next chapter of his football career.
