The midfielder was full of enthusiasm at his presentation as a new Yellows player
Roberto Soriano is already another member of the Yellow family. He has only been at Villarreal for two days, but is already only thinking in Yellow. At his presentation the versatile midfielder said he hopes to settle in to the team quickly to perform to his best as soon as possible: “I’m very happy. I will give my all for Villarreal. We have a great team and I hope to settle in quickly for the Champions League play-offs”.
Soriano, who was born in Germany but has an Italian passport, stated that he did not have to think twice about signing when he found out that Villarreal were interested in him and he is excited to start playing in the LaLiga Santander. “This is a great adventure for me” he commented.
Lastly, Soriano made it clear that he can play in every position across the midfield, but he let on that Marcelino is thinking of using him more on the wing: “In Italy I played as an attacking midfielder. I’ve spoken with the manager and I think here it would be better for me to play on one of the wings”.
