Villarreal to open a new international academy in the United States
Villarreal CF will open a new international academy in the US, in Houston. Villarreal Houston Academy will be aimed at boys and girls under 12 who want to learn about football under the Yellow Submarine’s leading methodology.
This is an expansion of the Villarreal Academy project. The club’s international academy project already has six bases in the US: Villarreal Force, Villarreal Las Vegas, Villarreal Nebraska, Villarreal North Texas Villarreal NY Bolaños and Villarreal Virginia. Villarreal Houston, previously known as Fall Creek Soccer Club, will join the Yellows’ family in the US.
Villarreal Houston director Cesar Coronel said: “We decided to partner with Villarreal CF because as a local community club, we had been looking for a development pathway for our participants. The option for quality soccer programming in Houston is very limited and does not offer very many choices for families. With the arrival of Villarreal, we are now able to give our families a pathway for children to accomplish their soccer goals.”
For children interested in joining the newest international academy, there will be tryouts in May and June.
